Bourbon Root Beer Float

I would recommend serving this to grown ups only, unless you live in Paris, where it seems to be perfectly normal for children to drink large quantities of alcohol with dinner.  Vive la France!

Ingredients (makes one drink, multiply for more creamy goodness!):

2 ounces bourbon or whiskey (I used Jack Daniel's)
3/4 cup root beer
1 ounce heavy cream
1 tsp orange bitters
3 small scoops ice cream (use a melon baller for more precise, smaller scoops)
1 orange peel
dash of orange zest

Directions:
Pour bourbon into the bottom of a tall glass and add root beer.  Add orange bitters.  Stir, then pour heavy cream over the root beer mixture. Float scoops of ice cream on top, then sprinkle orange zest and add orange peel for decoration.

Serve immediately, with a straw or a spoon - if you know how to use one properly.  I went in with a bit too much excitement and managed to overflow the glass into my lap.  Mmm.... ice cream dress.
