I know what you're thinking - this is probably a lot of work! Actually it's pretty easy, and besides, it's cute and delicious....
Ingredients:
4 oz chocolate, chopped
Mousse:
2 oz bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, chopped
2/3 cup whipping cream
Garnish:
1 oz white chocolate, melted
Directions:
Hearts:
In a bowl over saucepan of hot water, melt chocolate, stirring occasionally. Pour into heart shaped molds. Refrigerate for one hour or until hardened, then remove and set aside.
Mousse:
Place chocolate in bowl. In a saucepan, bring 1/3 cup of the cream to boil; remove immediately and pour over chocolate, whisking until smooth. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until thickened and chilled.
In a separate bowl, whip remaining cream; fold half into chilled chocolate mixture. Fold in remaining whipped cream. Scrape into piping bag fitted with star tip, or use spoon to fill serving dish or glass. Top with chocolate hearts.
Tips: If you go to a craft store, or even just Target around Valentine's Day, you can find heart molds to pour the chocolate into. Enjoy!
